SEO Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. How to I recognize a Bad SEO Firm?
A. 1) They focus on link swapping - not a good strategy for long-term growth.
2) They tell you that they have a relationship with the search engines - they work with the search engines just like everyone else.
3) They promise a Number 1 ranking. No one can guarantee that - RUN!
4) Recommends Micro-sites to increase rankings. It is always better to build upon the existing site. The only time you want to use Micro-site is for a Direct Mail driven marketing plan.
5) They talk about using hidden text or another technique that is trying to trick the search engines.
6) The SEO firm uses the same link building techniques for all clients - that does not work.
7) Finally, they do not let you know what they are doing and do not give you updates, this means on of three things: they are doing nothing or they do not know what to do or they are doing something bad.
Q. I see that other sites have packages for site submissions, should I do this?
